The following fact sheets were created by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) in collaboration with the Oregon Sustainability Board and the Center for Sustainable Systems, University of Michigan. The fact sheets showcase research about the life cycles of food products and their environmental footprints. The very first one will tell you how the project came to be and what these fact sheets can teach you. In short, this will help you get to know the detailed information about the resources that go into the life of the listed food type.
Not only does the amount of food you waste matter, so does the type of food you waste.
To read the full reports on each of these, visit DEQ’s website.
